Patriots Win Is Harbinger of Last Days?

Dear Reader: Today I would like to examine the Patriots win over the Falcons in overtime at the Super Bowl LI last week as a prophetic picture of the Church against the “Powers of the Air”.The struggle of good versus evil in these last days comes down to the wire, with good prevailing only at the last minute.Could this be a preview of the Church and her battle to survive in America?
The game went into overtime for the first time ever and the Patriots battle with the Falcons ended in victory. It was come-from-behind win in the last seconds of the game, only after a second-half turn around with historic results for Tom Brady and his team. The effect of this miracle comeback seems to have a profound message that far exceeds the value of a “regular” football game. The Patriots of New England can be seen as representing “Puritan-Christian America” against the ‘Birds of the Air”; the “ominous harbingers of doom” from the Bible.
The half-time show exhibition by Lady Gaga was also hit an all time spiritual low as it portrayed her a Satin’s puppet on a descent into Hell, and she danced to the tune “I was born this way”. Mike Adams of the Health Ranger Store has done a wonderful story on his web site where you can read all about her performance and the effect at
www.Naturalnews.com/Halftime Hell: (Satan speaks through Lady Gaga to declare dominion over the earth.)
I feel impressed to share something more about Super Bowl 51 and the dynamic struggle between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots. As we know, 51 can be added together(5+1) to produce the number 6, which in bible numerology is the number of man. Man is always shown in the bible as opposed to the divine ways of God. Man’s ways are always incomplete as God’s ways are always complete, as represented by His divine number- 7.Will the next years’ contest(5+2=7) be Saints versus Raiders?
let me say up front that I was pulling for the Atlanta Falcons to win, mostly because I spent my formative years growing up in Georgia. I can remember going to the Falcons first season games (1966) in Atlanta stadium with my father, and there were only five thousand paying attendees at most. Tommy Nobis was line backer and the big name player who was drafted from the University of Texas as the first official Falcon player and Norm Van Brocklin was the head coach. They lost every game as I recall?

Things are different now and Atlanta was competing for their first World Championship against the New England Patriots. The Falcons were leading the first 59 minutes of the game and it looked as though they were the sure winners, except for one thing; football games last 60 minutes. That alone could be the topic of a good inspirational message, but that is not the way we will go right now. Also I wish to make clear that I no way wish to disparage the Falcons as a football team or detract from this group of fine men!
Falconry is defined as “the hunting of wild quarry in its natural state and habitat by means of a trained bird of prey. There are two traditional terms used to describe a person involved in Falconry: a Falconer flies a Falcon; an Austringer flies a hawk or an eagle” Wikipedia.Falconry is a noble sport of European kings from early days and is still today a popular sport among the Middle Eastern Potentates ie. Muslim oil countries. In this light could the “Falcons” be a typology of the Muslim worlds’ attack against Christianity?
The use of large birds to hunt other living things is an extension of man’s dominance over nature and God’s creation. We may also refer to “birds of prey” from the Bible to see what the scriptures have to say about this subject:
The book of Job we see that eagles are part of God’s pride over His creation as He points out to Job;”Her young ones also suck up blood and where the slain are, there is she,” Job 39:30 It is certain that the birds of prey seek blood to eat. In search of blood they must kill their pray or dine on those killed by others.Concerning the end times,Jesus said; “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west: so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase (corpse) is, there will the”aetoi” (birds of the air,big birds) be gathered together in a place where I will bring them” Matt 24:27-28. Again Jesus said in response to the discourse on His Second Coming to his followers when asked;”Where Lord? And He said to them, Where the body (corpse) is, there also the”aetoi” (birds of the air, vultures, eagles,Falcons, big birds, etc.) I will gather together” Luke 17:37. Could “the body” be seen as the “Church” here in America.Other scholars disagree, saying that The Book of Revelation 19:17 proves this is a reference to the battle of Armageddon;”And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.”It is tantalizing to consider that Job, the first book to be written in the bible would tie so closely with Revelation, the last book in the Bible.
I have been told by native-speaking Greek scholar,it is not proper to translate the Greek word “aetoi” only as Eagle or Vulture as many New testament translations attempt to do, because it merely alludes to “birds of the air”, or “big birds”. Therefore, for purposes here, we are fully within the bounds of proper scholarship to suppose that Jesus could have been speaking of Falcons as well. Therefore, we could have seen a cosmic battle between “the Falcons” and “the Patriots” (Church) in the Super Bowl, with the Church prevailing only in Overtime. Does this mean the Rapture will occur before the final battle to defeat the forces of evil? We will look into this more closely in our next visit.
Maranatha– Come Quickly Lord!
